Artcurial returns to Monaco in January 2023 for its traditional prestige sales
 

Artcurial's traditional luxury prestige auctions will take place again this year in Monaco in January 2023.

Watches’ sales full of surprises

The Fine Watches session will present watches from the greatest names in watchmaking in increasingly rare and unexpected versions. A yellow gold Rolex Day-Datewith a Sanguine Jasper dial,a 3940 Patek Philippe in a rose gold versionor a Rolex Daytona with a Paul Newman dial are among those to be discovered. All these watchmaking gems have been carefully selected by the department.

This year, Artcurial's Le Temps est Féminin sale will feature a precious and astonishing selection of women's watches, which are the result of a meeting between watchmaking, jewellery and femininity. It includes secret watches, jewellery watches, sports watches and pendant watches, all signed by the greatest names in watchmaking. These include a Patek Philippe in yellow gold and diamonds with an annual calendar and representing the phases of the moon,and a Cartier nephrite jade easel clock.

French jewellery and Italian jewels in the spotlight

Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Boucheron, Bulgari or Buccellati: the greatest names of the Place Vendôme as well as the Italian jewellers will be represented in this High Jewellery sale. As at each session, jewels from all periods will be offered for sale: antique jewels, with a fabulous case of brooches adorned with emeralds,or for example a Mellerio necklace in gold and diamonds,icons from the 1960s with notably a marvellous set by Van Cleef & Arpels, and more contemporary jewels, by Dior, Chanel... A chapter will also be devoted to artists' jewellery: César, Corneille, Cocteau, Ernst and Lalanne...
