Since its opening in 2012, Artcurial’s Brussels office has become an unmissable address for collectors and art lovers. Housed in a superb mansion, the office is in the heart of the residential embassy district. Trilingual in French, Dutch and English, Vinciane holds a degree in Art History in contemporary art from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, and a diploma from CREPAC, majoring in Antique Dealing/Fine Art Broker Business Management. She also followed an additional course organised by IESA Belgium. Vinciane then joined Sotheby's, first in London, then in Brussels as an expert-liaison and later as Director of the Decorative Arts Departments. Since 2012, Vinciane de Traux is Director of the Belgium Artcurial office and manages the Benelux Artcurial activities, putting her skills, enthusiasm and network at the service of the auction house’s development.

Martine & The Shadoks
in the spotlight
On 10th April 2024, Artcurial will hold its first sale of the year dedicated to comic strips. On this occasion, the Comic Strips department will auction a previously unseen selection of 40 works by Jacques Rouxel, the father of The Shadoks. These brightly coloured, cheekily humorous drawings are as modern as they are topical. The department also celebrates the 70th anniversary of Martine, Marcel Marlier’s famous heroine.
Over €9.1M for the Monaco Auction Week Winter Sales!
The Monaco Auction Week sales, held at the Hôtel Hermitage in Monte-Carlo, were a resounding success, with Artcurial’s Watches, Jewellery and Hermès & Luxury Bags. Under the hammers of Stéphane Aubert and Geoffroy Ader, the 5 successive sales totalled €9,101,772.
Artcurial achieves €217M
the best year since its creation
With numerous auction records and lots sold above €1M, as well as the sale of prestigious private collections and the acquisition of the auction house Beurret Bailly Widmer in Switzerland, 2023 was Artcurial's best year, with a record-breaking result of €217M.
Belgian collectors in the spotlight at Paris Old Master auctions
During the Antique Art sales held in Paris on November 22 & December 13, 2023, we had the honor of auctioning some fine private collections from Belgium. The total amount was over €3M.
Fragonard, a rediscovered masterpiece
As every year, the Old Master & 19th Century Art department will hold its prestige sale on 22nd November, in conjunction with Fine Arts Paris & La Biennale. The sale will feature a masterpiece by Jean-Honoré Fragonard: The Sacrifice to the Minotaur. Estimated €4,000,000 - 6,000,000, this oil on canvas has been kept in the same family for over a century. An exceptional, unpublished still life by Louyse Moillon and a Saint John the Evangelist by Bartolomé Esteban Murillo will also be offered for sale.
Tintin in America breaks a new record!
On 10th February, Artcurial auctioned Hergé’s original drawing for the 1942 cover of the album Tintin in America. This cover was used in 1946 for the first colour edition of the album. After a bidding battle, it was sold for €2,1M, a new world record for an original black and white drawing by Hergé.
More than €4M for The collection of Baron and Baroness Vaxelaire
On November 9, 2022, Artcurial had the honor of dispersing in Paris a major group of paintings by Flemish and Dutch masters of the 16th and 17th centuries from the prestigious collection Baron & Baroness Vaxelaire, a family tribute. With a world record for the series of 10 tondi by Abel Grimmer (1575-1619) which reached the sum of €1,538,000 (fees included).
