Cette Golf GTI 1800 a été vendue neuve le 28 février 1983 par l'importateur Volkswagen de Belgique, les établissements D'Ieteren, de Bruxelles. Elle était de couleur gris métallisé.
Le 8 mars 1994, elle a reçu une immatriculation hollandaise et appartient à son propriétaire actuel, un employé du garage Volkswagen Autobedrif Hoekstra, depuis le 12 octobre 2007. Elle a fait l'objet d'une restauration accompagnée de modifications avec l'installation de pare-chocs de Golf Mk1 chromés, de jantes larges BBS, de poignées de portes Audi, de vitres électriques et d'un toit ouvrant en acier. Le moteur a été lui aussi remis en état et, depuis sa restauration complète, cette voiture n'a parcouru que 8 560 km. Elle est accompagnée d'un dossier incluant de nombreuses factures.
Avec sa peinture de qualité et son intérieur impeccable, c'est une représentante intéressante du modèle qui a révolutionné le marché des petites berlines rapides, générant une catégorie de voitures à laquelle elle a donné son nom, "GTI". This Golf GTI 1800 was sold new on February 28, 1983, by the Volkswagen importer of Belgium, les établissements D'Ieteren, of Brussels. It was metallic grey in color. On March 8, 1994, it received a Dutch registration and has belonged to its current owner, an employee of the Volkswagen Autobedrif Hoekstra garage, since October 12, 2007. It underwent a restoration accompanied by modifications with the installation of chrome Golf Mk1 bumpers, wide BBS rims, Audi door handles, electric windows, and a steel sunroof. The engine was also overhauled and, since its complete restoration, this car has covered only 8,560 km. It comes with a complete file including numerous invoices. With its quality paintwork and impeccable interior, it is an interesting representative of the model which revolutionized the market for small fast sedans, generating a category of cars to which it gave its name, "GTI". In this 1800 version, it is even more efficient than the first of them, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.4 seconds and topping 180 km/h.
