From 30th November to 11th December, the Fine Wine & Spirits department is launching three sales sessions, beginning with two online auctions (first part: catalogue – second part: catalogue) followed by a live auction (catalogue).
The online sale, held over two sessions, will feature 855 lots from 30th November to 8th December. Then, on 11th December, starting at 2pm at the Hôtel Marcel Dassault, will take place the live auction dedicated to a Private Cellar and presenting 427 lots.
Fine Wine & Spirits Online (Lot 1 to 375)
The online sale will feature a range of great Bordeaux wines perfectly preserved in their original wooden cases. Bordeaux enthusiasts will be able to treat themselves to fine classics such as Château Angelus, Château Cheval Blanc, Château Haut Brion, Château Léoville Las Cases, Château Margaux, etc.
Fine Wine & Spirits Online (Lot 376 to 855)
In this session, wines from Burgundy and the Rhône Valley will be honoured, with a rare and interesting collection of large-format wines. These venerable bottles, collected by a great enthusiast, have been perfectly preserved in a magnificent Parisian cellar. Around 130 lots including flagship estates such as Domaine des Lambrays and Clos de Tart in magnums and jeroboams, as well as a major collection from Domaine de la Vougeraie and Domaine de Montille in magnums, jeroboams and even numbered mathusalems.
Lovers of the Rhône Valley will not be disappointed, as these large formats can also be found at M. Chapoutier. Jeroboams and magnums of Côte Rôtie, Ermitage and Saint Joseph will be on sale.
Finally, to brighten up the end of the year, we have a large selection of the finest Champagne houses, including Bollinger, Dom Perignon, Roederer, Selosse, Salon as well as Krug.
Charity Auction
Lots 823 to 855 are being auctioned in aid of the Fonds de Dotation du Centre Hospitalier de Libourne, to help finance their recent installation at the CHU of paediatric reception units for children at risk - UAPED. This charity auction features some very fine bottles and experiences brought together thanks to the support of the Conseil des vins de St Emilion, the Centre interprofessionnel des vins de Bordeaux and the Syndicat des maisons de Cognac.
Cellar of a Great Enthusiast (Lot 1000 to 1427)
We are delighted to be auctioning during the exceptional sale on Monday 11th December the cellar of a great wine enthusiast.
This enthusiast has accumulated over more than 20 years some of the greatest French wine labels. The wines were perfectly conserved in an air-conditioned cellar. The regions most concerned by his acquisitions were Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Rhône Valley and Champagne.
The curious wine-lover will find treasures among the bottles on offer. To start with, the Bordeaux grands crus classés such as Château Haut Brion, Calon Ségur and Léoville Poyferré.
The other main feature of the cellar is a fine selection of Burgundy grands crus. More than 150 bottles of Domaine de la Romanée Conti are on display, including 8 mixed cases, with vintages ranging from 1995 to 2005.
You'll also be able to buy a range of vintages from leading houses such as Domaine des Lambrays, Henri Gouges, Domaine Faiveley, Domaine Leflaive and Maison Regnard.
The Rhône Valley will be highlighted by Côte Rôtie, Condrieu and Saint Joseph from Guigal, Cuilleron and Grippat.
Finally, an exceptional series of great Champagnes from the House of Bollinger will be on sale. Firstly, R.D. cuvées in vintages ranging from 1979 to 1988, and above all the extremely rare 'Vieilles Vignes Françaises' from 1989, 1990 and 1999.
