Offered for sale on September 22nd under the hammer of Hervé Poulain, 22 original manuscripts by Georges Brassens from singer Fred Mella estate total €377,650 including premium, the auction rising to 5 times the estimate, 100% of lots sold and 9 pre-emptions (by the Sète municipal archives, the Sète library and the Bibliothèque Nationale de France). The manuscripts for the song Supplique pour être enterré à la plage de Sète reached €54,600 including premium, more than 36 times its estimate.
