The semester highlights
 

The second half of the year already promises to be rich with major events at Artcurial, including themed Design sales, an outstanding collection dedicated to Alexandre Dumas, the Eclectic Eye collection featuring the enlightened eye of a couple of collectors, a rediscovered masterpiece by Jean-Honoré Fragonard, the traditional A Moroccan Winter sale, an event sale to mark the 150th anniversary of Piaget and the unmissable Rétromobile show.

In September, Artcurial will hold two successive design sales: the first, dedicated to Paavo Tynell, will highlight the Finnish designer’s most iconic lighting pieces, including an exceptional “Snowflake” ceiling lamp and an important pair of floor lamps mod. 9619. At last, after setting four world records at the first edition, the Brazilian Design sale will be back featuring iconic pieces by José Zanine Caldas, Joaquim Tenreiro and Jorge Zalszupin.

A Moroccan Winter

A not-to-be-missed event in December, the sale entitled A Moroccan Winter will be divided into three sections: Majorelle & his contemporaries, Modern & Contemporary Moroccan and International Art, as well as Contemporary African Art. The sale will be preceded by a four-day exhibition at the famous palace La Mamounia.
