En 1973, la situation n'est pas au beau fixe chez MV Agusta et l'idée d'abandonner la production de moto de série commençait à poindre. Pourtant, le projet " Ipotesi " est dévoilé lors du Salon de Milan de novembre 1973. Les lignes de cette 350 Ipotesi GT sont dues au célèbre styliste, Giorgio Giugiaro, qui a également dessiné la Ducati 860 GT. La MV se caractérise par des lignes horizontales et des angles vifs. Le bloc moteur est également entièrement redessiné extérieurement pour être en accord avec le look moderne de la GT sans changer à l'intérieur. Ce bicylindre développe alors 34 ch à 8 500 tr/mn emmenant la 350 à près de 170 km/h. Avec seulement 1912 km d'origine, cette 350 GT est à finir de roder ou à conserver pieusement dans cet état d'origine.

The situation at MV Augusta was not exactly "bright and shine" in 1973 and the idea of giving up mass production of motorcycles was a distinct possibility. However, the "Ipotesi" project was launched at the Milan Show in November 1973. The lines of the 350 Ipotesi GT were attributable to the famous designer, Giorgio Giugiaro, who also designed the Ducati 860 GT. The MV is characterised by horizontal lines and sharp angles. The engine block is also completely redesigned externally to match the GT's modern look without any change on the inside. This twin engine produces 34 hp at 8,500 rpm, taking the 350 to nearly 170 km/h. With only 1912 km on the clock, this 350 GT is all yours to be honed or devoutly kept in its original state.
