Asian Art - 21st December 2020
Artcurial is pleased to present its next Asian Art auction, which will take place in two stages: a first selection of lots will be presented Online Only from December 4 to 11 on Artcurial's website, followed by the traditional auction on Monday December 21, 2020.
A first chapter will be devoted to the Art of Japan and Korea, featuring a gold lacquered wooden Buddha statue and a 6-leaf folding screen from the Edo period.
The second part of the sale will be dedicated to the Art of China, including an attractive pair of purple and apple-green jade plates, a Suzhou-style black and white jade snuffbox, a pair of coral-bottomed bowls from the Qianlong period, and an important gilded bronze dignitary statue from the Ming Dynasty.
The sale will close with a fine selection of Southeast Asian Art including a Khmer sandstone torso in the Angkor Vat style.
